Vision

With our commitment and compassion for helping the Haitian community in Springfield and the surrounding areas, we are dedicated to supporting everyone, without discrimination based on race, color, ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation.

Our Mission

As a non-profit organization, our mission is to help immigrants in need within our community by providing essential services. With the support of our volunteers, we are committed to making a positive impact in Springfield, Ohio and surrounding areas.

Language Classes

We offer free classes in English and Haitian Creole to our community.

Driving Lessons

We offer driving lessons for those seeking a license, or adapting to the different rules of driving in the USA.

Food & Financial

We help struggling families with food and financial assistance.

Leadership

Rev. Madet Merove serves as a community leader, pastor within the United Methodist Church, and the CEO of Haitian Community Solidarity & Support. He founded the organization in 2024 to address the needs of the growing Haitian community in the greater Springfield, OH area.


Rev. Merove serves 2 churches in Ohio, and he is committed to helping families achieve success and thrive in the communities they live. He grew up in Haiti, where he lived until 2002. He attended United Theological College of the West Indies and University of the West Indies Mona Campus in Kingston 7, Jamaica. He served throughout the Caribbean and Central America in various roles, including pastoral ministry, superintendency, and community leadership. Now he lives with his family in Springfield, OH. He is passionate about helping others, fighting for justice, and is excited to lead HCSS in its mission.
